United Kingdom employment equality law
INTRODUCTION
United Kingdom employment equality law and its latest addition Equality Act 2010, legislates against prejudice-based actions in the workplace. It is unlawful to discriminate against a person with “protected characteristics”, which are, age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation.
It provides UK with a discrimination law which protects individuals from unfair treatment and promotes a fair and more equal society.
The way we see is that if everyone gets a fair chance in life, we will all thrive and success is imminent.
Dot Tyres Limited operates in a male dominated industry. It operates a non-discriminatory system where all employees are paid depending on their skills, achievements and experience.
